What is an unclassified student?
Unclassified students are not enrolled in a program but take courses for general interest. This category also includes visiting students who take 小优视频 courses to transfer credit to another institution. The same course registration rules apply to both program and unclassified students.
If you are enrolled in a program at another institution and taking one or more 小优视频 courses, you will register as an unclassified student. Before registering, obtain a from your home institution confirming that it will accept the 小优视频 course toward your program.

I am looking to request a detailed course outline for an 小优视频 course. Who do I contact?

I need courses to meet a licensing body requirements (e.g., teacher or professional association). Who do I contact?
Contact the licensing body directly to confirm its requirements. 小优视频 cannot confirm licensing criteria or transferability of credit.
How can I transfer credits back to my home institution?
Your home institution decides whether it will accept transfer credit.
If you’re a visiting student, contact your home institution to confirm it transfer process. 小优视频 cannot confirm course equivalencies or transferability.
How fast can I complete a course?
Students in individualized study have:
- up to 6 months to complete a 3-credit course
- up to 12 months to complete a 6-credit course
Students in grouped study or those receiving financial assistance have shorter course contracts.
If you plan to complete a course in under 3 months, consider:
- start date requests must be processed before the 10th of the previous month
- printed materials (if applicable) may take up to 2 weeks to arrive
- you cannot contact your tutor, access academic support, or book exams until your official start date
- assignments may take up to 8 business days to mark
- exams may take up to 8 business days to mark (mailing time not included)
- final grades may take up to 8 business days to update in the student information system
How do I book an exam?

Can I request an extension?
Undergraduate course extensions are available for individualized study courses only. Students who are unable to complete their course during their course contract period may apply for an extension. Each course may be extended up to 3 times, and each extension is valid for 2 months.
How do I request an extension?
Option 1: and choose “Apply for a Course Extension” under “Manage Your Courses.” You will need to pay the relevant fee online.
Option 2: Submit a and required fee for each extension requested.
All extension requests must be received by the Registrar’s Office a minimum of 1 month before your course contract ends. The extension starts on the first day of the month following your course contract end date. Students with course extensions must complete all course work by the end date of the extension period.

How long will it take for me to receive my final grades?
Unofficial final grades appear in your Gradebook on up to 10 business days after 小优视频 receives your last assignment or exam, as per 小优视频’s service standards.
Official grades may take longer during peak times and depend on factors such as whether you choose to write a supplemental exam.
Final or course composite grades are calculated when all course requirements have been completed and marked.
We recommend submitting exams and assignments 4-6 weeks before the final grade deadline.
How do I request my 小优视频 transcripts?
小优视频 sends transcripts via MyCreds, a secure document exchange platform.
Log in to and select the "" option under Student Record in the left navigation menu. This service lets you preview and print your unofficial transcript before submitting your request.

How do I re-enrol or reactivate my student status?
Students are considered ‘inactive’ if they have not registered in an 小优视频 course:
- within 12 months of their last course contract end date or date of withdrawal
- within 12 months of the most recent admissions entry term
- or taken a course at another university on a Letter of Permission within 12 months of either of the above dates
To reactivate:

- Select “Change Program” under “Manage Your Program”
- Complete the form to reactivate your status as either a program or non-program student.
No application fee is required. However, you may be required to pay the transfer credit evaluation fee if you need an evaluation completed (the fee applies to students requesting an evaluation for the first time). If you have applied to an 小优视频 program and requested an evaluation in the past, your application fee and evaluation fee will be brought forward from your previous application, so you do not need to repay those fees.
If this is your first time logging in to my小优视频, your password will be your birthday (YYYYMMDD).
Please contact the 小优视频 Service Centre if you have lost your student ID.

How do I contact a professor for permission to take a course?
If you need to contact a professor to get permission to register for a course, you can:
- Look up the coordinator for your desired course and email your request.
- Submit your request for permission during the registration process if you are .
- Check the course syllabus or the if you are unsure if you need permission to register for a course.
How do I withdraw from a course?
You may withdraw from a course at any time up until the end date of the course. However, you may not withdraw from a course if you have completed the final exam.
To withdraw from a course:
- and complete the withdrawal process for the course.

- Withdrawing from a grouped study course

How do I appeal my mark?
小优视频’s grade appeals process is as follows:
- Contact your tutor to discuss the mark. This must be done within 1 month of receiving the mark.
- Either you or your tutor contacts the course professor to have the examination, assignment, or essay remarked. The student must make this request within 1 month of the original complaint.
- If you are still dissatisfied with the result after remarking, submit a written appeal to the program director. This must be done within 1 month of receiving the second marking.

What mark will I get if I withdraw or do not complete the course?
小优视频’s withdrawal policy is as follows:
Early withdrawal - within 30 days
Students may withdraw before or within 30 days of their start date for a partial refund. You can receive a refund if the learning resources are:
- complete
- unmarked
- able to be issued to another student
- received by the University within 30 days of the processing of a refundable withdrawal request
The registration will not appear on the transcript and will be deleted from the official record. Please refer to the Undergraduate Calendar for further details.
Withdrawal - after 30 days
Students who withdraw from a course more than 30 days after the start date will receive a “W” grade on their transcript,indicating a withdrawal without credit and prejudice. No refund is issued, and course materials should not be returned.
If a student does not formally withdraw by the course end date and does not complete the course, the official record will reflect an “F” (Failure) grade. A grade of 0 will be assigned and calculated into the cumulative grade point average.
Are courses online? Do I need to attend a lecture in person?
You do not need to attend live, scheduled online lectures. All undergraduate courses use an individualized, asynchronous study format, allowing you to learn at your own pace and time.
What if I failed my course? Can I re-register for the same course?
Students are permitted one registration and one re-registration in each individualized study course. You may re-register in an undergraduate course provided you are eligible to register in the current revision and that you have not previously re-registered in the course. The reregistration fee will include tuition, course administration and technology fee, and students' union and alumni fees.
To carry forward any completed coursework, you must first obtain written approval from the course professor or course coordinator. Approval to carry forward completed coursework is at the discretion of the course professor or coordinator. Course Coordinator Database: Course coordinator/assistant listing.
Supplemental examinations: If you are not satisfied with your initial final examination mark, you may be eligible to request and write one supplemental examination for a non-refundable fee. The higher of the 2 marks (initial or supplemental) will be used to calculate your final course grade. This option is generally only available for exams, not assignments or quizzes, and must be requested within 90 days of the initial exam date.
How do courses work?
We offer university online and distance education courses in a wide range of subjects, and you don’t need to be enrolled in an 小优视频 program to take an 小优视频 course.
We’ll provide you with everything you need, and you set your own schedule to complete the course. You will have access to a course website, tutorial support, and receive a learning resources package that may include:
- textbooks (or eTexts)
- workbooks
- lab kits
- study guides
- online resources (including audio and video resources)
- manuals
- a recommended study schedule
Review your program information and course syllabi for any requirements specific to your course of study.
Students access their courses in their at times that work best for them to complete their courses.
You may be required to pay for additional small items, such as binders, calculators, and home lab materials. Additional lab kit fees may be required for some Faculty of Science courses.
Each course syllabus displays the delivery modes available for that course, an overview of the required course work, course materials, and other details.
